I'm the Design Manager for Microsoft Flow, a cloud tool and mobile app that allows users to automate simple and complex workflows without the aid of developers. In my role, I manage a design team, work closely with our UX partners in research, content and analytics, and represent design as one arm of the product team alongside PM and engineering. In the past year on Flow, I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to grow as a designer, leader and coach. Our team has taken on an ambitious re-design of the product from both a visual and interaction standpoint. We’ve also re-positioned ourselves as a key piece of Microsoft’s Power Platform, alongside Power BI and PowerApps.
Prior to my role on Microsoft Flow, I was a Senior designer for Power BI, a business analytics service with interactive visualizations and self-service BI tools. I particularly enjoy technical challenges and opportunities for learning new areas and found that both Power BI and Flow have provided excellent outlets for that. I seek out opportunities to work with and better understand our customers, because it is the foundation of my job as a UX designer. I appreciate new challenges, and find it especially exciting to work on projects with the potential for large impact and reach.
Outside of work, I'm passionate about running - I’m currently training for my first marathon. I am also an illustrator, a huge hockey fan (Go Rangers!), I love Seattle-style teriyaki, long-boarding, travel and mystery novels.
